Daniel Pink
What I am taking away from this video, is how shocking the results are. Almost everyone believes that larger rewards cause better performance. The fact business needs to change is very obvious after watching Pink's ideas, but it's not likely to happen soon. The fact it won't happen is a bad sign for the future, and needs to be changed differently. Daniel Pink's most effective technique is appealing to the audience's intelligence by discussing a high level topic and talking sense with it. This advanced thinking helps make Pink's point come across much more effectively, and his TED worthy idea will get more attention to it as a result. His presentation style is to have practiced his talk so many times, that he can speak and express what he wants to casually yet professionally and effectively. What really matters is the idea that worldwide business is failing, and is doing so right after tough economic times for the US and a lot of the rest of the world. The failing business could be recovered by taking what science knows and applying it to everyday interaction with other businessman to make everyone's day simpler and more profitable. The world cannot just sit by and let 2000 years of human progress end, so we must change. Take what science learned almost a century ago and finally use it in everyday life, to make life generally better and more stable for the 7 billion humans on planet Earth.
